Pilot Post

Hey everyone!

This is my first adventure into the blogging world, and I have to say it's pretty exciting! I'm sure I'll be blogging about all my homemade laundry detergent and the 100 ways I've found to organize your life in no time. ;) Or reality will set in & I'll write on this deal every 3 months...we'll just have to see.

I started this blog to jot down all the fun things that are going on in my little family's life these days: 1) My husband (S) and I both have excellent jobs that are fairly new. I started my first year as a 4th grade writing teacher this year and have thoroughly enjoyed it thus far, and S had his second season as head football coach of the Dragons this year! They did amazingly well, too, and are obviously the best team in Arkansas. I may be a little bias though. 2) We are having a baby!! A precious little Tot is joining our family of 2 plus a fur baby (Boudreaux) in April of next year. We just feel abundantly blessed by this opportunity to be parents, and we cannot wait to meet our little boy or girl!

So, you see that there's a lot to be excited about in our little early married household, so I thought having a blog would be a fun way to talk about it, keep our sweet families up to date, and share what the good Lord is doing in our lives!

On that note, I've seen these adorable little pregnancy surveys that people do in blogs I've found on Pinterest, so here goes:

How far along?: 22 weeks on Tuesday

Maternity clothes?: Heck yes! And I would advise anyone who wants to feel like Heaven in their clothes to go get maternity pants! They're wonderful. I can still fit in most of my non-maternity pants as well, so my options haven't really dwindled just yet. However, in my opinion, you never say no to stretchy pants.

Sleep: Waking up every once and a while for no apparent reason and some late night bathroom trips but overall still sleeping soundly!

Best moment of the week: Seeing Tot flip and flop around during an ultrasound.  I took a little tumble this week at school after slipping in some water. I didn't fall on my belly and caught myself before completely busting it, but it scared me enough to be very relieved when I saw him/her moving like crazy in my belly! It's amazing to me that God forms these littles one so carefully and wonderfully within us.

Movement: Anytime I'm still, Tot is a'moving and a'shaking! I'm certain we have the next Olympic Gold gymnast in here

Food Cravings: Nothing specific. Still get sick if I let myself get too hungry or too full, so I make sure I just eat around 9,000 very small meals/snacks a day.

Gender:  It's a surprise! We're not finding out, and, much to the disbelief of our families, we truly don't know! We're really not just keeping it between us, promise! :)

Belly Button: Strange. Just very strange-looking.

What I miss: I miss getting really into a workout and pushing myself to my max
! I miss sweating buckets and being out of breath. I suppose that will probably come without working out later in my pregnancy though as the weather warms up.. :/

What I am looking forward to: Getting the nursery and our house ready and then meeting this child in 18 or so weeks!

Well that's it for my very first blog post! Like I said, hopefully I can keep up with it, but our life--Like most other people's--is crazy so who knows! Thanks for reading!
